Designing a Domestic E-readiness Assessment Model for the Deployment of Mobile Learning

Abstract

AbstractIntroduction: Nowadays, e-learning is gaining widespread popularity all over the world. One of the new models of trend is education through mobiles which has grown increasingly in some developed countries owing to the development of mobile technology.Material and Methods: To design a model for determining the level of e-readiness in educational centers for deployment of mobile learning, the researcher studied different e-learning readiness assessment models, and based on the available literature and one of the e-learning readiness assessment models, designed a domestic model. To determine and accredit the adequacy of the proposed model, the researcher prepared a valid and reliable questionnaire to collect the viewpoints of 45 experts in the field from 10 top universities in Iran.Results: The collected data were carefully analyzed, and the adequacy of the model was accredited and according to suggested points the final and refined model was designed. Then, based on the proposed model, the level of Isfahan University e-learning center readiness for deployment of Mobile learning was measured.Conclusion: Regarding this accredited, domestic e-readiness assessment model, the model is now ready for use at any school and university.
