Abstract
In the process of preparing a research document (i.e. technical report or research paper) researchers challenging with organizing the references and research sources at the beginning to end of publishing. In this case, reference manager softwares are utilized by many researchers to overcome difficulties and facilitate the reference organization. There are several free/commercial reference managers for storing, collecting, organizing and managing the citations, among them Zotero as open source software has been gained many interests between researchers due to its advantages and user friendly features. In this paper, in addition to introduce Zotero services, Zotero is discussed and compared with other popular reference managers (EndNote, Mendeley, Connotea) in terms of their features, abilities and tools.
